National Farmers Market Week is coming up from 11 to 19 March and we will be celebrating it at the Nelson Farmers Market on Wednesday 15 March. The theme this year is 'Where does our food come from?' Recent national and international events have highlighted the importance of having a good local and regional food supply and this is the role that Farmers Markets play. We bring a selection of fresh local food direct to you from the grower/producer. This cuts down on food miles, ensures what you are eating is fresh and therefore higher in nutrient value and provides an ongoing supply in the face of  global and national events. Writing this is really talking to those who already know but please spread the word, that Farmers Market are critical in our food supply chain and we deliver quality affordable food direct to you.
